If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, this passes the test. Syl Johnson and Talking Heads (Video) both recorded hit covers. Let's Stay Together has proven to be his most enduring hit, probably because of its aphrodisiac qualities, but for my money this is the ultimate Al Green. Unfortunately, Reverand Al Green no longer performs the song as he considers it un-Christian.
